The more I practice this, the easier it becomes. There are still many days - like yesterday afternoon when the kids were driving me absolutely crazy!! - that I just can't focus on the blessings of the day and am in a terrible mood. But, I *try* to stop and remember to choose to be happy. I am confident that soon joy will fill your heart and mind the majority of the time. And, when that isn't the case, remember, I am over here dealing with similar issues as you and trying to make the same choices. I really helps me knowing that I am not alone in my struggles.

I have a hard time with this. I wake up and say "It will be a great day!" then something happens and I make the rest of the day go south. :( Joy is definitely an action and not a feeling. I want the joy that surpasses all understanding and trying to work on it daily.
